Breakfast Belters!

We enjoyed working with SoundLincs, starting the day with singing together to promote mental wellbeing and have some fun!

Our Curriculum

Our exciting music curriculum is supported by specialists from Lincolnshire Music Service. Each year, we focus on these elements:

  • Performing
  • Exploring and composing
  • Listening, reflecting and appraising

Children have the opportunity to learn the following instruments within lessons. Each year, existing knowledge is strengthened and extended.

Foundation Stage Introduction to percussion
Year 1 Percussion
Year 2 Percussion
Year 3 Djembe
Year 4 Glockenspiel
Year 5 Ukulele
Year 6 Brass and Woodwind

We provide children with real-life experiences wherever possible and some of our pupils have been involved in the BBC's Ten Pieces concert at a regional theatre. We have also particpated in the Young Voices choirs on several occasions.

Working Together

Our curriculum is sequenced so that there is a progression in knowledge and repetition of key concepts. This supports children's recall and develops confidence.

Young Voices

Children in Key Stage 2 have opportunities to singing as part in the Young Voices concerts in Sheffield. Our singing club enjoyed rehearsing and performing as part of a choir of 5000!

Sharing our achievements

Children have opportunities to share their learning by performing and when possible, we invite families to share in these experiences.
